Reporting: Attainment, Progress and Welfare 2017-2018
Reporting to parents on the progress, attainment and welfare of their children is an essential aspect of providing them with the highest quality education. This year we are enhancing this process to be a more robust and efficient system. There will be four components that we will use:
1. Special Learning Days
The school will open for you to visit and review your child’s learning in their school books. If you wish, your child can sit with you whilst this happens. We ran these last year and it was lovely to see so many people sit and take the time to share the children’s hard work.
2. Gear Profile Reports
These reports will incorporate our Gear Profile reporting system that we have developed over the last few years. I will be discussing these profiles in more detail during the Parent information meetings that start next week.
3. Parent Evenings.
There will be four opportunities during the year to meet your child’s teacher and discuss their learning:
4. School Pupil Tracker Online (SPTO).
We use this system to record the children’s learning outcomes throughout the year and track their progress. SPTO has a function that allows parents to review their children’s learning. You will receive login deals before January. The system will go live for a short period of time during January, April and July.
Dates for the Parent Evenings are published on the school calendar on this website, and letters are sent home to remind parents of these meetings.
Appointments are booked through our online booking and payment site, WISEPAY. Please log in in the usual way, and you will find a link to the Parent Evening area of the site.
