After School Activities
Here at Holy Trinity, we place importance on the provision of a wide range of extra-curricular activities. We aim to offer something of interest to every child.
We offer Football, Netball, Tag Rugby, Cross Country, film club, craft, computing, science, Cookery, Art, Fun French, Choir, singing and instraments.
Each term we produce a clubs and activities leaflet for parents.
We are members of the Yeovil area Netball, Football and Cross Country leagues. We also organise many different sporting festivals for all the schools in the local area. These include Athletics, Tag Rugby, Tennis and much more!
Music and the Arts
Recorders, Hand Chimes and Choir are offered free of charge. Mrs Amanda Boniface visits the school each Friday afternoon, leading the choir and sharing her expertise in singing. Mr Jeffery is our school music specialist and works with a group of staff to ensure Music provision is progressive and enjoyable for all.
Mrs Veryard is the school Co-ordinator for the Arts. She plans many different and exciting activities across the whole school, examples of which you can find in our Library and throughout our Trinity Building.
Together In Voice (June 2018)
Later this term, children from Year 5 and 6 will be joining with children from other BWMAT schools to sing at a special service in Wells Cathedral.
For practise-at-home purposes, recordings of the songs that will be performed during the services can be found by following the link below:
We believe that there is tremendous value in class visits; children learn a great deal whilst on the visit and are able to apply their new skills to other areas of the curriculum when they return to school. We also welcome a number of visitors to the school and value the contribution they make to the learning of all the children.
Every year, the children in Year 5 enjoy a five-day residential visit to Mill on the Brue. They take part in many 'Outdoor and Adventurous activities' in line with the National Curriculum. This year, our Year 6 group will visit Cornwall for 3 days, experiencing the wide range of culture that the county has to offer. These visits are a wonderful learning opportunity for the children; they gain tremendously both in confidence and self-esteem. Safety is our first priority, with extensive pre-visits and full risk assessments undertaken. All outdoor activities are run by fully trained and experienced staff with a high adult to pupil ratio.
